My sister and I participated in the Brooklyn Art Library Sketchbook Project this year. We sent for our sketchbooks back in early October last year and had a February 15th deadline. That seemed like a piece of tres leches cake, but then Nick died and that sketchbook arrived looking like tits on a boar. It took a LONG time before I even touched the thing. In fact, I got most of it done the week before deadline.
The books have been sent back and will be uploaded to their website once they've been received. I'll post more pictures here once they've digitized it.
Is it possible I'll forget this? At this very moment, 02/19/21, the snow is beginning to melt and I believe the worst of the wintery business is over with. We had a week's worth of snow pummel the entire state - many lost power and running water, many had pipes freeze and burst in their homes and businesses, there are still boil water notices going around. It's a big slushy mess, man.
Luckily, we never lost power or water. No damages to speak of.
I'm glad we got out without too much trouble. Life's hard enough, ya know?
