Musician/Arranger

I don't think it's any secret that I have a particularly soft spot for unusual instruments and creative arrangements. This fellow delivers both. Peter (the youtuber behind the wind), uses an EWI for multitrack recordings. If you're unfamiliar with what an EWI is, think a giant electronic clarinet with a built-in soundboard to emulate a wide variety of tones. While it can be used for evil (I once witnessed an Akai representative using it demo club music), Peter uses it for the utmost good. There is a subtle, yet dynamic confidence to his sound that adds near sensuality to his arrangements of 8-bit and 16-bit trips down memory lane. Like taking ecstasy without the sweaty feet. Songs I never would have given a second thought to (see his cover of Super Castlevania's Password Entry) are suddenly given a beautiful multidimensionality, akin to opening up a wristwatch and watching each little moving part contribute to the whole. Musicians/Arrangers

Do you know why I love creative people? For starters, they're usually really good looking, but more than that, they never fail to give new life to comfy, old favorites. Mariachi Entertainment System is this and so much more. The group is led by Dave (channel formerly known as Daveyard Shift) and his wife, Carla, who has given him what all great creators need - Support! Dave leads a fairly traditional, fiercely talented mariachi group (nothing kooky as far as components: violin, guitar, horn, guitarron, and occasional flute), however, their original arrangements of video game music, such as Dr. Wily's Stage on the Home Screenis true to both the spirit of mariachi and the sacred origins of classic VGM alike. It is incredible how well this Spanish flare lends itself to the genre and I can say without restraint that some of their covers (see their collab with The OneUpsare better than the original. Musician/Singer/Songwriter

I have come to know Jeevan's music through a mutual friend and have been thoroughly pleased with the discovery! Jeevan is involved in a number of musical projects but all share a commonality in that all you, the listener, are going to want to do is close your eyes and chill WAY out. There is a casual smoothness to the vocals that almost makes them feel subliminal. Musically, you get the idea that sound waves might be tangible, and if you lay still enough, you might be able float right down. You're not wrong! Artist

As is immediately made evident by the above self-portrait, Celia is an artist in the truest and most beautiful meaning of the word. While she may drop your jaw with the photo-like quality of her paintings or her intricate works using mixed medias, she may also make you grin like a fool with her ability to turn names into wonderfully inventive pencil sketches or otherwise transform something rather ordinary into something you desperately want to know more about. Brilliant minds have a tendency to be a little off their rockers, so, just to prove she IS brilliant, I will offer this bit of information: She hates Jose Altuve. If that doesn't make her crazy, I don't know What does.

Special FX artist, Cosplay designer and Prop maker

Like all of us featured on this site, he is in the humble stages of really honing and exhibiting his craft. Clicking his name will take you to his Facebook page while clicking his photo will take you to his YouTube, where he currently has a two part tutorial on creating Joseph Oda from Evil Within. On top of everything else, he happens to be a video game enthusiast! Listen for him on Your Friendly Neighborhood Concession Stand's first podcast!

Singer/Songwriters/Auditory Lovemakers

Like Tom Winter and Secret Ghost Champion, I happened upon Skeye sort of by accident. Unlike most accidents of mine, however, I ended up with some brand new grooves on my iTunes (rather than on my back). Something I found myself immediately attracted to was the fact that the young lady has a very powerful voice, yet, unlike most female vocalists out there, she doesn't feel the need to prove it to anyone. The sound is very mature, almost edging on reserved. Like the lady, the lad is poised and his skill is evident without ever being distracting. That is the best way I can describe this duo. Poised and rearing. Clicking their name will take you to their Facebook page while clicking their photo will take you to their personal website!
